Sarah-The Esty was founded in 2020 by Sarah Dionne, a licensed Esthetician and veteran of the beauty industry with over 20 years of experience. After earning her BA in Art History at the University of Connecticut, Sarah began her career managing spas and salons in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She attended management training at Bumble & Bumble NYC as well as makeup artistry classes in Massachusetts. She soon found that skincare was her true passion and enrolled at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics outside of Boston. After graduation, Sarah passed Massachusetts state boards and attended more than 150 hours of continuing education at The Dermal Institute in Burlington, MA. to further her knowledge.

After a move to the Washington DC area for her husband's work, Sarah opened her boutique skincare practice based on the idea that skincare is self-care. As she developed strong relationships with her clients and built skincare routines based upon their needs and lifestyles, Sarah was often asked for body care product recommendations. She searched for a brand that was formulated with the same active ingredients that she used to treat her client’s skin. Unsuccessful in her search Sarah had her “ah-ha” moment and set out to develop her own. In 2021 she found The Esty & Co. with the goal to develop products that are clean and hydrating as well as results driven by including active ingredients typically reserved for the skin of the face. Containing no artificial fragrances, The Esty & Co. products are backed by years of hands-on experience and research.
